The K, R, F, And G Series Of Bmw Motorcycles

Originally, BMW produced airplane engines for World War I planes. With the Treaty of Versailles implemented, the need for aero engines was no longer wanted, and BMW turned to look for other things to manufacture.

At first, the company tried making air brakes and agricultural equipment, even delving into toolboxes and office related furniture. This didn't satisfy the company, so it turned to producing motorcycles, which eventually paved the way for BMW into becoming one of the largest, most respected, luxury, as well as utility, vehicle manufactures in the world.

The R32 was the first motorcycle ever to hold the BMW standard. From it, a wide range of BMW motorcycles came about, taking their respective cues from the R32. Today, the K, R, F and G series of BMW motorcycles stand tall, along other motorcycle brand names and models.

The K Series of BMW Motorcycles

    Fast. Fast. Fast.

The K Series of BMW Motorcycles are among the fastest motorcycles in the world, competing in racing events all over the world. Released in 2004, the K1200 S, an example of the K series of BMW motorcycles, came out with a liquid cooled in-line four cylinder engine. The K1200 S recently set a land speed record for its motorcycle class, exceeding 174 miles per hour. As a sporting motorcycle, the K Series of BMW motorcycles has the speed for the task.

The R Series of BMW Motorcycles

As a touring motorcycles, the R Series of BMW motorcycles are amazing. 2004 R series BMW motorcycles came out with a 1200cc engine, with a street version of R 1200 S to be released in 2008, truly on its way into becoming another speed demon BMW motorcycle. The modified R1200 S Sport Boxer is predicted to weigh 195 kilograms, fully fueled. Light and fast.

The F Series of BMW Motorcycles

With the new F 800 series of BMW motorcycles powered by a brand new parallel twin engine, it isn't surprising why a wide range of BMW motorcycle classes are made on its foundation. From dual-purpose motorcycles, to sport bikes, the F Series of BMW motorcycles stands to be among the most versatile of BMW motorcycles.

The G Series of BMW Motorcycles

Off-road styled, the G Series of BMW motorcycles came out equipped with a single cylinder 650cc fuel injected engine, which is water cooled. Also equipped with a chain drive, the G Series of BWM motorcycles features three models, the G 650 Xchallenge Hard Enduro, G650 Xcountry Scrambler/Adventure Sports, and the G 650Xmoto/Street Moto/Supermoto.

As each of the three G Series BMW motorcycles' names imply, they are geared for various off-road events.

From airplane engines, to motorcycles, BMW has gone a long way, with its K, R, F and G series, standing as testaments to the power of BMW motorcycles.
