    Advantages Of Moped Motorcycles

Motorcycles have advantages over four wheel vehicles. For example, they are much cheaper and easier to maintain. They do not consume as much fuel as a car.

One of their advantages is that motorcycles are much smaller than their four wheel counterparts. They are easier to control and navigate through city traffic. Among these kinds of motorcycles, mopeds are one of the best.

Moped motorcycles are low powered motorcycles. By flicking a switch or a lever, the moped's engine can be disengaged. This allows the rider to make use of the pedals so the vehicle can be ridden as a bicycle. In all respect, a moped motorcycle is a motorized bicycle. In fact, the word "moped" is a combination of the word "motor" and "pedal."

Moped motorcycles have a lot of advantages over regular motorcycles. Their small size and small capacity engine power enables them avoid safety restrictions and licensing charges that are needed of larger motorcycles.

Mopeds, although mostly unable to reach speeds up to 40 miles per hour, are very fuel efficient. A typical moped can get around 220 miles on just one tank of fuel. Because of this, mopeds became very popular, especially with the advent of today's energy crisis.

In the United States, the popularity of the moped has diminished. This is due to the introduction of more fuel efficient cars and the lowering of gas prices.

Still, in many countries, these vehicles are very popular, especially among teenagers and young people. That's because the legal driving age for a moped motorcycle is usually lower than that for larger motorcycles or cars. Due to their small size and low engine power, they are generally safer than full sized bikes.

Many countries use moped motorcycles for a variety of practical purposes. For example, in Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, mopeds are used as short distance delivery vehicles. Baskets are strapped to either the front or the rear where goods can be placed. Due to their small size, they can weave in and out of heavy traffic quite easily.

In fact, in these countries, moped motorcycles have become so popular that even shops along the streets have allotted parking spaces exclusively for mopeds.

In the Philippines, moped motorcycles are extensively modified for looks and speed. Accessories such as stereo systems and neon lights are installed to turn an otherwise uninteresting vehicle to a transport of artistic beauty. But mopeds have a darker purpose. In this country, they are used for illegal street racing.

Mopeds are a very convenient means of transport. However, it is important to check the country's laws and regulations before driving these motorcycles.
