calling out all math whizzes.
The scooter designer uses the same body to make scooters with three wheels and scooters with four wheels. He has anough bodies to make 50 scooters. He has 160 wheels. How many three-wheel scooters and four-wheel scooters can he make by using all the bodies and all the wheels? |

40: 3 wheel
10: 4 wheel 40*3= 120 10*4= 40 120+40= 160 wheels 40+10= 50 bodies for each 3 wheeler you give up for a 4 wheeler, you consume 1 more wheel... edit: patters... please observe this 3 wheeled scooter before running your mouth http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-2006/2006-Piaggio-MP3-Red-Front-Right-1920x1440.jpg |
