Valentino Rossi is gifted no doubt about that. He is a superb rider and I he dominated MotoGP for so long that last year's season had many writing him off. In sport u are judged on the records u leave behind and Rossi has many of those. Casey Stoner is good but he has much to do to surpass Rossi. Time will tell.

Stoner is a class act, but Rossi's record speaks for itself.
With the Talent that is riding in GP at the moment I doubt if anyone (including Rossi) could attempt to achieve what Rossi has already done. with him closing in on Agostini's record. I think we will be waiting past this generation of racers to see anyone come close again. thats not saying these guys aren't the best we have had in along while, because i think they are.

    Just a little bit !!

Read this : http://resources.motogp.com/files/results/xx/all+riders+all+time.pdf if you want the full listing.

To save you counting, Stoner is in 33rd or somthing like that. Have a look at who is No: 1.

I don't believe in questions like "Who's better?". They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I do prefer Rossi as a guy who has proved his way of riding the bike, always goes on the track with a passion for the sport itself. Plus what Wiggysan posted. The link speaks for itself. On the other hand Stoner rides really well. For some time there is no one else who can handle the Ducati bike, and that's obviously a challenge. And he did win last year.

But there is something about Rossi that makes him so much better than a lot of riders...

Well, I like him better but that answer is as subjective as all the others you will get!

    They're both great riders.
